What surrounds you? What determines your path as you move through time and space? What cues from your environment inform your path? What can only be felt or experienced by wandering the city streets on foot? Which senses ground you in the present or transport you to other places?

Non-linear Impressions draws from multiple dérive or wanderings by the artist of various city streets. The end result casts faint impressions of those places, spread out over space and time, to form a meditative, non-linear sound walk.

This piece was installed as a part of Cardinal Space's Hidden Paths Exhibition, September 2019, in Baltimore, MD.
